LOVING AUTUMN

I love Autumn! Terrence and I decided to go to the temple on Saturday, but when we arrived, there were no cars there so I'm assuming it was closed. Elyse had already consented to babysit for us, so we decided to go up Logan canyon instead. We drove to Tony Grove and walked around for a while. They have some awesome trails up there, and the leaves are starting to turn golden and red. Some of them were so vibrant they almost looked like pillars of fire blowing in the breeze. I love all that Autumn brings. The changing leaves, the cool breeze, fuzzy sweaters and warm blankets, and of course the yummy food! Terrence and I used to spend every weekend of hunting season up in the mountains looking for deer and enjoying the beauty. We have so many memories from when we were dating driving around all day long on a four-wheeler and having picnics. It was a great day to remember what it was like....pre-kids, and crazy in love. Our relationship has grown so much since then, but it's so much fun to reminisce and remember those good times.

Puddin'

After Terrence and I got home Kylie decided she wanted to make a treat, so Terrence helped her make some pudding.

Then...Maddi wanted to help so she pushed a chair up to the counter, but it wasn't high enough so she resorted to climbing on the high chair.

Together they mixed the pudding and licked beaters. Maddi was so excited to be able to help and I couldn't get enough of her face. So fun!

Fairies and Spit

A couple of months ago we rented Spiderwick Cronicles from RedBox. So, after watching that movie, Kylie is convinced that the white puffs on dandelions are fairies. She has to pick and blow on every one she sees so that she can free the fairies. Then she decided that everything floating in the air is a fairy; I'm talking sunbeams, cotton, lint, dust...EVERYTHING! Today on the way to school, Kylie sneezed and she realized that fairies were living in her mouth. Pretty soon she and Madison are in the back seat spitting all over so they can see all the fairies. Kylie said to me "Mommy! There are fairies in my mouth! How did they get in there?" I couldn't help but laugh. Kids have the wildest imaginations!

"Princess Party, for Princess Kylie"

Today we had a birthday party for Kylie. We read some princess stories and played "Pin the Kiss on the Frog". I sewed all the girls princess skirts, and bought some fun foam swords for the boys to take home. I made PB&J sandwiches cut into heart shapes, and served "Frog Prince gummies", pink cookies, and pink lemonade, and pink watermelon. We didn't invite too many people, but everyone we invited was able to come. We had so much fun!

Kylie got a little doll house. She was so excited!

Aunt Andrea gave Kylie a HUGE assortment of food to play with in her little kitchen.

Aunt Elyse gave Kylie a purse filled with princess lip gloss, jewelry, and a heart mirror.

Kylie got all "decked" out in her new attire and said "This is fabulous!" as she struck this pose. What a prissy little girl. Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate her birthday with us. We had so much fun!

"The Cake"

Kylie saw a barbie princess cake at Macey's a few weeks ago and has been begging for once since. So, last night I stayed up and made her one. I had no idea what my plan was, I just decorated and made it up as I went. Although I see a lot of imperfections, it didn't turn out being quite as unfortunate looking as I had feared. I took Wilton classes before we were married and I made our wedding cake, but I'm a little out of practice now. I stayed up till 1:00a.m. decorating. (Tell me how smart that is when you have to wake up at 3:30a.m. the next morning) I'm basically only blogging right now as a means to keep myself awake. PATHETIC I know!

CLOTHES CLOTHES CLOTHES!!!

Right after Kylie's birthday party today, the mailman brought her a package from Grammie and Papa Mills. If Kylie got clothes and only clothes for presents she would have been perfectly happy. Clothes are her favorite gift, and that is exactly what she got!

Can you imagine a high pitched squeal as she opened each gift. Man she was excited!

Who knew undershirt tanks could spark such happiness?

Maddi was feeling left out, so she tried on Kylie's jacket and was walking around doing her best Kylie impersonation saying "CUTE!" in a high sqeeling voice!

She had to do the splits to model this pose. We hadn't cleaned up after the party yet, so there are toys and stuff EVERYWHERE!

GUYS WEEKEND

Terrence has been so busy and stressed since starting school, so the few weeks before school started, he working what seems like a million overtime hours and went on a "guys weekend" trip to Denver while I went to Time Out. Terrence went with a couple of his co-workers and the got to spend Friday night in Blackhawk, then went to a Rockies game, Boondocks, and ESPN Zone on Friday. Then on Sunday, he visited my family in the morning and then they went to the Broncos vs. Chargers game. (which was and awesome one by the way!) Here are a few pictures from his trip. I miss this beautiful Colorado scenery!

This is the AF bomber that flew over the Broncos game after 'Blue Steel' sang the National Anthem. They were the tenth row from the top of the stadium. Thank goodness Terrence brought binoculars! I was going to post a picture of their speedometer, but I decided it was much to scary to post for now.
