Up to this point, my girls have only been able to get along with Emily for a limited amount of time. Emily is very tender and kind, and my two little monsters are a little aggressive when they play. This time however, they got along fantastically! Emily has really started to mature these last few months and held her own around them. She walked around copying Kylie and absolutely adores Madison. She pushed a chair next to a sleepy Maddi and announced "Maddi cakes is my best friend!" Kylie replied to her saying "Maddi is a baby. You are a big girl like me. Maddi CAN'T be your friend cuz she's too little. That means I'm your best friend." I thought it was too funny. Kylie just seemed so grown up and a little possessive, and Emily was just being her sweet little self.

On Saturday and Sunday we all sat around the TV and watched conference together. The girls all did their traditional crafts (crochet, crosstitch, etc.) while we watched, and the little ones did the usual bored to death thing. Kylie climbed up and sat on my Dad's chair with him, and next thing we know....the lights are out!
When we were growing up in Ferron, every time my Dad would BBQ, all of the kids went outside to play with him. We spent the whole time outside on the Trampoline, and teasing with my dad. It is a special memory of mine, so when my Dad was out cooking the Brats, it was so much fun to see my kids doing the same.
When I close my eyes to think of my "comfort" spot...this swing is it. Better than under an umbrella at the beach or anywhere else for that matter, this swing is what I think of. When Terrence and I lived in Denver, we would come to my parents house every Sunday for dinner, and this is where I spent my lazy Sunday afternoons. With the accompaniment of a good book and a good nap, this swing has been my therapy!
