The "R" word....

Cute right?...Well this was seconds before

This:
The dreaded "reflux" has invaded our home. Luckily it's a somewhat mild case, but there is still projectile spit-up and a lot of fussing and grunting going on. Daxton doesn't really cry, but then none of my babies really did as newborns. He just fusses and grimaces.

So the girls do a lot of this:
While Daxton gets bundled up and cuddled
And lets face it, he's way too cute for the girls to not want in on the fun.
Every once in a while he decides to feel good though and we get some playtime. ha ha LOVE the pinky thing!
So he's not really a fat baby. He just has a very round face. And even though he's already 12 lbs, I held him up to a 4 month old 14 pound baby in my ward yesterday, and he's tiny in comparison, so I choose to believe he's just really solid and will maybe play football some day.
And here is one of the first smiles. It's still a little weak, but it's getting better every day.
Despite that nasty reflux, we are in heaven with Daxton. The girls are adjusting so well, and well...my house isn't a complete disaster most of the time. ha ha.

Sunday Best

First of all: I NEED A NEW CAMERA!!! I knew mine was in need of being replaced, but now I realize how bad it really is.

I have been trying to find church clothes for Daxton and am having the hardest time! There isn't a whole lot out there in the really small sizes and I'm not the type to send my son to church in jammies or a t-shirt. I found a button-up at Old Navy, but it's a 3-6 month size so it's pretty big. Dax still looked so handsome though!

I love how awake and happy he is after he eats. He starts kicking and flares his nostrils. ha ha
Behold the "smirk"! SO CUTE! I just love him!!!
And this is his new favorite place to be. Terrence and Daxton do this every night after Terrence gets off of work. I wish I could have him sleep on Terrences chest at night so he'd sleep for longer. I did manage to get a 4.5 hour stretch out of him last night though!

29+ years and 1 month

Grammi Sharon was sick yesterday, so we decided to celebrate her birthday for her which we had absolutely no problem with. I sometimes have to find legitimate excuses to satisfy this sweet tooth of mine and this was just the occasion! ;) Aunt Lysee came over to enjoy homemade pizza and german chocolate cake with us.

Grammys birthday is also the one month birthday of our little Daxton. He slept through dinner of course.

But got a little fussy when it came time for the cake. I think he felt a little left out. Don't worry though, I ate a slice so he could get some later ;) ha ha

We lit the candles and sang twice so both girls could have their turn blowing them out. By the way, this past week was spring break which for me meant getting to sleep in past 7:00 and not doing the kids hair more than twice this week as you'll see below:

Daxton is getting so big. He has most definately grown out of his newborn size clothing and spends much more time awake and alert now. He tries so hard to smile but hasn't quite figured it out yet so he mostly just "smirks". Now if only he could figure out how to sleep more than 3 hours at a time during the night!

This picture is actually from conference weekend. That was such a relaxing wonderful weekend. I caught up on laundry and ironing, and got to watch the entire thing with very little interruption. I love the peace that comes with having a new baby in the house!
