DISNEY ON ICE!

About a month ago I decided to try my luck at a local radio station's contest to win some Disney on Ice tickets. Much to my surprise...and elation...I actually won! Terrence didn't sound entirely excited about going and suggested that I invite a friend, so I asked my friend Jesi if she would like to take her daughter and join us.
Jesi and Faith were so much fun to hang out with. Kylie and Faith have similar personalities and get along so well. It was so exciting as a mom to see their reactions to this fun surprise!

We ended up being a little bit late for the show but didn't miss too much. We were pretty close to the ice and were able to see the Beast come to our corner. This picture was taken without any zoom. So our seats were actually pretty good:)

During the intermission the girls were so giddy. They couldn't even pose for a picture and actually look at the camera at the same time because they were afraid they would miss something.

At the end of the show, all of the characters came out and danced together. We found out that we missed Nemo and Aladdin, but we were able to see all the others. I thought I got a picture of the dragon from Mulan, and the Whale from Pinocchio, but I guess not. I'm kind of sad about that because those two were the best of the show. The whale was HUGE and actually did eat Jepedo (s/p?) and Pinocchio.

Kylie and Faith stood up for almost the entire show. If they tried to sit down, something exciting would happen and they would just pop up again. They watched with big grins on their faces. I thought it was so fun to watch them, but I was enjoying it as much as they were! My jaw hurt afterwards from all of the smiling!

It took what seems like FOREVER to walk back out the the parking garage. Kylie and Faith were spinning and twirling the whole way to the car. They had magically transformed into princesses on ice. I'm quite certain that girls are the best! No boy would have this much fun watching princesses skate around for two hours!

HUSBAND TAG!

What is his name? Terrence Glen Mills

2- Who eats more? Usually Terrence, but I eat more often. I'm a snacker!

3- Who said I Love You first? Terrence did. I was so afraid of getting taken advantage of by another loser guy, so I yelled at him and told him never to say it again till he REALLY meant it. Then I told him I didn't want to talk to him for a few days to think about things. Poor guy...he really did love me and I just about broke his heart by telling him that. Good thing I reconsidered right?

4- Who is taller? He is...barely. When I wear heels it gets a little scary, but I'm not really one to care.

5- Who is smarter? Depends on the category. Terrence is great in math and mechanical type things. He can fix or organize just about anything. But I have "helped" him write quite a few papers in my days!

6- Who is more sensitive? Usually me, but we both have our moments. When we were doing the whole long distance relationship thing we were both bawl babies every time we said goodbye...and I won't even get started about the temple on our wedding day!

7- Who does the Laundry? Me of course. I actually enjoy laundry and ironing.

8- Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Looking from the foot of the bed: me. I used to sleep on the left side but when I got pregnant with Maddi I was so sick of walking around the bed for my late night bathroom trips that we switched and it's been the same ever since:)

9- Who pays the bills?A combined effort.

10- Who cooks more? Definately me. Terrence is never home to cook, but he loves it and he's really great at it, so he tries to do it at least once a week.

11- What meals do we cook together? Anything we can when he's actually home. Mostly BBQ and southern food because we miss it so much :(

12- Who is more stubborn? DEFINATELY Terrence...no competition!

13- Who is the first to admit they are wrong? Always me. Again...Terrence is STUBBORN!

14- Who has more siblings. I do. I have 4 sisters and 1 brother and Terrence has 1 sister and 1 brother

15- Who wears the pants in your relationship? I would say we're equal in that department. Although...Terrence likes to think he's the full-time pants wearer

16- What do you like to do together? Cook, camp/4wheel/hunt/fish/stay up late and talk/make-out! (for old-times sake ha ha)

17- Who eats more sweets? I would say me, but that doesn't explain the millions of candy wrappers I find on Terrence's side of the bed. He's a midnight snacker.

18- Guilty pleasure? Chocolate, carmel apple spice starbucks, and staying up way past my bedtime

19- How did you meet? I was introduced to Terrence by his bestfriend who I was sort of dating at the time. Terrence was our chauffeur when we would hang out.

20- Who asked who out? We were just best friends. The first time it because official was when I asked him to the Sadie Hawkins dance about 3 months after we started liking each other.

21- Who kissed who first? Mutual. We had been "together" for 1 1/2 months and we pecked for our first kiss after the Sadie Hawkins dance in his driveway when I dropped him off.

22- Who proposed? Terrence, over a bowl of jello. Long story!

23- His best features? He has great lips, and my one secret thing I've always looked for in a guy...big broad shoulders that can wrap around me and make me feel safe.

24- What is his greatest quality? His love and dedication to me and our girls. He values communication just as much as me and because of that...there are no secrets and things get worked out immediately.

25- Tag? Anyone that will do it!

Pickle Tickle wars

I've had a few people ask what a "pickle tickle war" is. Is the Pabst family the only weird family that did this? We would always do the following:
person 1: "give me five"
person 2: gives high five
person 1: "on the side"
person 2: gives a sideways high five
Person 1: "cut the pickle" while holding index fingers together
person 2: swipes their finger through the person 1's fingers to "cut" it
person 1: "tickle tickle" and tickles person two.

This is one of my girls favorite games. They also like the one that says "open the fridge, take out a coke, close the fridge, poke, poke poke." I know we are weird but it's so cute to hear Maddi say "tickle, tickle, tickle"
