I am not a talented writer, nor do I claim to be, but sometimes writing down my thoughts help me to sort through them. Today I am wondering if it's possible to have too much Faith in something? I was told a story about two sister missionaries who filled their gas tank with several gallons of water one Sunday morning with a prayer and a lot of faith that somehow the water would be magically transformed into fuel so that they might make it to church. They of course ended up stranded on the side of the road with severe damage to their car. I think this problem was not due to a lack of faith, but rather a lack of preparation. So in my efforts to have more faith than I've ever had before I am wondering if I am covering all of my bases. Will I end up stranded on the side of the road because I forgot another essential step? Am I prepared both physically, temporally, and spiritually for the days ahead? I am giving it my best effort and forging ahead with faith and prayer. I just hope I have everything required to get me through. I have never been more grateful for the gospel and the atonement than I am now. I know that the Lord loves me and my family and that he will take care of us. It is that peace and knowledge that carry me through the day. Hopefully I can have the strength to cast my burdens to the side and kneel in prayer of Thanksgiving for every day I get to live with such beautiful little girls and a worth priesthood holder who surround me with a kind of love no words could ever justify.Monday, November 16, 2009
I wonder....

LOTS OF TEARS! I wish I could lighten your burndens... YOUR RIGHT IT TAKES FAITH TO Give it to the Lord. If you do he will surround you with the STRENGTH and COURAGE TO MAKE IT DAY BY DAY, MOMENT BY MOMENT. WE LOVE YOU, BE OF GOOD CHEER!!
I totally agree. The Lord wants for us to be prepared. He wants us to do our best. I do believe that if we help ourselves that God will help us too. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and Happy Thanksgiving.
I think faith is one of those things that you have to develop and learn for yourself. I don't know what your current trial is but I think that no matter what, as long as you are doing all you can, and all you can think to do, the Lord will never give you a trial he knows you can't handle...so whatever it is that has been set in your path, know that you are strong enough in all aspects of your life to deal with it. And you have great friends and family in case you start to falter, or just need a reassuring word...the Lord is counting on us to help each other out too. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Love you
That brought tears to my eyes... I wish I could help you guys out... I am still here if you need me... My "mental status" is shot but I can listen... Take Care I love you guys!!
Clearly I am not keeping up with this blog very well but I'm wondering where you get such strength from. I am very happy for you and your family because you are so strong. You have always been a builder and a comforter. We love you very much and we are happy that things are beginning to turn in the right direction for you. You are always in our prayers.
