more lagoon...

Kylie was scared to death of this rocket ride, and when she got on she had this look of Terror on her face, but she was laughing, she begged to go again.

Not that you can tell, but this is Terrence, Kylie, Elyse, Andi, and Me. Terrence and Kylie got soaked!

This is the girls pooped out after a long day!

Oh the things boys love!

Maddi was self entertained while we were there. She stomped in puddles and chased ducks. What fun!

I'm thinking I should have just created a slide show because I have to showcase all of the pictures, but oh well....a fun day deserves to be shown.

LAGOON BABY!

On Saturday, we spent the day at Lagoon. We left as soon as I was done with my paper route in the morning and spend the entire day there. The girls had so much fun! Kylie would get in line and when it was almost her turn she would start chickening out, and then she would scream in delight on the rides. It was so fun for her now that she is big enough for quite a few of them. Maddi got to ride a few too, and was pretty stubborn with her smiles but as soon as we got her off of the rides...she screamed to get back on and would point and say over and over again "go, go go!" At about 3:30 Lagoon blew a majoy transformer or something and the power in the entire park went out for about an hour and a half, so we just relaxed on the grass till it went back on and then stayed till about 10:30p.m. And...ta da...because of the technical problems, we get to go back for free again! So I'm actually glad the power went out on us!

My sister Andrea, and Terrences mom and sister came with us for added fun. The girls get sick of just plain old Mom and Dad. Maddi wasn't so sure what to think of the carousel, but Kylie loved the helicoptors.

Our week of FUN!

This week has been a blast! Terrence's mom was in town, so she has been spending a lot of time with us. On Saturday the 7th, Terrence and I went out to lunch to Market street Grill in downtown SLC while Grammie Sharon and aunt Lysee had a picnic in the park with the girls. We were planning to do some sealings in the SLC temple (a tradition on our Anniversary), but we didn't have enough time, so we just went to the temple grounds and walked around for a while. I think I counted 11 brides outside getting pictures taken. It is so nice to spend time alone with Terrence every once in a while. It doesn't seem to happen too often these days, so we really cherish the time we get to do that. The girls had a blast with Grammie and Lysee. They went to the same park Terrence used to go to with his grandma, and they fed the ducks and played, and then jumped on the trampoline and had a picnic at Lysee's new place. I am so lucky to have them close enough to spend special time with the girls!
Yummy sloppy joes! Kylie had so much fun on the trampoline. I love this picture.
Kylie loves climbing on people, and Maddi wants nothing to do with them. She wants to walk around and be free. This is her first time going down the slide on her own, and she loved it. When they fed the ducks, Kylie would throw out whole pieces of bread at a time, and Maddi was pointing saying "ducky" and "quack". She loves ANY kind of animal!!!

Fathers Day

I decided to do one of those completely corny tributes to Terrence for Father's Day. I know they are a little silly and sappy, but he's a great guy, so I'm gonna lay the sap on ya.
Terrence has been the best Dad from the start. Kylie was a real "surprise" baby (arriving about 2 years before she was planned). I had a really hard time with it when I found out, but he was excited and proud from the moment he saw that pink line. He's been so involved and even asked me if he could change Kylie's first diaper in the hospital. (I do think that novelty has worn off a bit though) He would wake up with me when I had to nurse the girls in the middle of the night and as soon as I was done, he would change their diapers and rock them back to sleep so I could get as much sleep as possible. He has always been dedicated to making sure he could provide a living for our family and give our girls the opportunities he wants for them. I know times are hard, and he feels guilty sometimes that he can't give them everything right away, but I am so proud of him for going to school so that someday he will have that opportunity. He has goals to raise our children with strong values, and to be independent. He started teaching them about cars and tools at a young age, and even has them help him out there. (once they know not to stick their dirty fingers in their mouths for a taste test that is) He loves to play with them and have a fun time, even if they don't play by the rules (Kylie ALWAYS wins at candy land) He is never embarrased to wear all the silly little crafts Kylie and Maddi make for him and gets excited over the silliest things (he taught Maddi how to blow kisses today, and he was almost rolling in laughter as she did it over and over again) Terrence is a GREAT cook, and always has to make me elaborate recipes on the nights he chooses to cook (I think it has more to do with seeing how high he can make the flame without burning off hair when he flambe's the bananas foster). But more than anything, I love him for loving our girls. He is always there for a hand to hold or a comfy pillow to cuddle up and fall asleep on. He loves his girls and makes sure they know that. What would I do without such a strong supportive husband? Kylie and Madison are lucky to have him in their lives.

Noodle Cleaning Mermaid

Funny story of the day: We were just sitting down for a gourmet meal of Macaroni and Cheese when Kylie drops her loaded spoon on the table. Instead of eating the noodles, she brushes them on the floor (I think she's too accustomed to eating outdoors). So...I told her that she needed to climb under the table and pick them up because that was innapropriate and we don't do that at our house. She stands up on her chair, puts her hands on her hips and in a very matter of fact voice announces: "MOMMY! I am a mermaid, not a noodle cleaner!" It was very hard to keep a straight face at this point, so I had to turn around to compose myself before answering. In the end though, she did swim under the table to retrieve the noodles. Then combed her hair with her dirty "tanglehopper" (I think she meant a dinglehopper). I love having girls. What an imaginative life!!!

Our 5th Wedding Anniversary

Terrence and I met as sophomores in high school, 8 years ago. We became best friends and before long we both realized we were in love. Back then, we had so many people tell us it was puppy love and it wouldn't last. Now, I am not one wanting to be considered a typical Emery County couple statistic, but there was no denying that what we had then was as real as what we have now. The only difference is that our love has grown and matured. Five years ago, Terrence and I went to the Manti temple to be sealed for time and eternity, and now we have two beautiful little girls and a love that can withstand anything. I am so proud to call him my husband, and love him more than anything! I can't wait to celebrate 5 years of marraige with him, and I can't wait to celebrate our anniversary for the rest of our lives.

Temple pictures

Freezing cold, teeth chattering.
"Mom, are you kidding me? I'm not going to smile!
I am f-f-freezing!"
"Finally happy in the sun"
She kept trying to pick the stamen's out of the flowers
I love tulips. What a nice day to take pictures!

I've been wanting to take some pictures of the girls at the Logan temple with all of the pretty tulips. It has been so rainy, and I am so impatient that I finally just went last week...thinking that pictures with an umbrella would be adorable. Well...as it turns out, it was breezy, freezing, and raining the whole time. The girls cried and begged me to go home the whole time, so that didn't work out very well. Finally.....today was a nice day, so we went back to the temple and despite their impatience, I did manage to get a few cute pictures. :)
